Layer List Information
The Layer List’s title bar indicates which view is in use and the number of layers on the list. The Layer List provides the following information/commands:

Clicking the icon above a check box column toggles all the check boxes in the column between being all selected and all cleared. In Project Tree view, when any group check box is selected, all layers in that group are automatically selected to that mode. Layers in a group can also be selected individually. When the layers in a group are inconsistent in their selection, the group check box shows a dimmed check mark. |

Select this check box to display this layer in the Reference Window. |

Select this check box to display the layer in the Working Window. If you want to edit the layer, the Edit mode check box must also be selected. A layer selected for viewing but not for editing has a gray frame. |

Select this check box to select the layer for editing. A layer selected for editing automatically becomes visible in the Working Window, even if the View mode check box is not selected. |
Name |
This column includes the Name of the layer with an icon indicating the Type of source to its left. The name of the layer corresponds to the Layer Title in the Properties Sheet, which by default matches the File Name. The Layer Title is modifiable; the File Name is not. The icons indicating the Type and status of source are:

UPP (x;y) |
Displays the UPP of the layer. When UPP X and UPP Y are different, the display shows the UPP X and UPP Y separated by a semicolon. |
UPP in Project |
Displays the layer’s Units per Pixel (UPP) in the project. Legal values for UPP are restricted to values on the Project ruler. |

To remove a layer from a project:
1. In the Layer List, right-click the layer and from the shortcut menu select Remove. The Remove Layer dialog box is displayed confirming removal of the layer.
2. Click OK to delete.
